In your first session, we will meet and discuss your intentions for receiving Reiki. We will discuss your present health issues and will make a plan as to how we will use Reiki to help you heal. I will ask you to list some of your ailments and rate them from 1-10. As we work together in future Reiki sessions, we will review this list. The list will provide us with an easy tool to gauge your healing process.
Quiet natural sounds will be played in the room to aid in your relaxation. Sage and other herbs, Nag Champa, crystals and candles are available for use to aid and intensify your session. I have been trained in Reiki Drum Healing, and will use the drum at your request. I also tend to receive a lot of communication in the form of colours, images and/or messages throughout some Reiki sessions, either directly from the Universal Light, or from Spiritual Guides. In order for me to tell you what I have learned, you must ask. This is customary etiquette for healing practices.
After the Universal Light has finished, there will be opportunity for you to vocalize your experiences from the session. It is not mandatory for us to discuss anything. What you receive from Reiki is your gift, and you are not required to share it with anyone. Sometimes people find that they had certain feelings or visions at certain times during the session, and want to ask for feedback or clarification. As a Reiki Practitioner, I do not have all the answers, but I will attempt to educate you on what traits are common to the chakra in question.
A lot of what I have found Reiki to do for myself and for my clients is to provide us with a question, and motivation to find the heartfelt answer.
